SUMMARY:ComForCare Free Virtual Dementia Support Group for Families
DESCRIPTION:As part of our ongoing goal of supporting the dementia care community\, ComForCare both locally and nationally provides a broad range of resources designed to educate\, inform\, and give tools to those working in dementia care. \nIn addition to programs targeting our caregiving team and our care partners\, ComForCare also provides periodic support groups designed to meet the needs of those taking care of loved ones suffering from dementia.  These groups are at no cost\, are appropriate for anyone caring for a loved one (children\, spouses\, family friends)\, and are convenient to attend. \n+5 week course (6 this week with optional session during Thanksgiving) allows participants to plan and avoid a long term commitment \n+Very specific cirriculum with supporting materials focused on learning about dementia\, learning coping skills\, and building good self care habits. \n+Course held virtually\, two hours a week\, allowing participants to fit it in their busy schedules with minimum disruption. \n+Open to anyone looking to learn more…no cost and no requirement to be a  ComForCare client. \nPlease feel free to reach out with any questions to Scott Collins (scollins@comforcare.com\, 206.347.3030).   Also\, do not hesitate to pass this information along to others in senior care or anyone else who might benefit.
