DESCRIPTION:Join the Leela Kathak Dancers for an introduction to the history and development of Kathak\, a classical dance of northern India\, followed by a live dance performance with musical accompaniment. \nThe dancers will perform “Kathak from Didi’s Garden.” Didi Urmila Nagar has visited for more than 30 years to work in the Kathak garden she has planted in the northwest. The Leela Kathak Dancers are honored to share this bounty. \nRegistration not required. \nAll ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nA King County Library System One Bellevue One Book program. Bringing Bellevue together to read\, discuss and connect with one book. The 2026 title is Intemperance by Sonora Jha.
