DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, brought to us in partnership with the deTornyay Center for Healthy Aging at the UW School of Nursing\, we will describe the disease progress associated with the development of osteoarthritis. We will review the 2019 American College of Rheumatology/Arthritis Foundation Guidelines for the Management of osteoarthritis of the hand\, hip\, and knee. We will also look at data supporting the role of exercise in the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis as well as lifestyle changes and over-the-counter options to ease symptoms of osteoarthritis. \nGuests must be fully vaccinated and wearing a mask to attend.
