Kapa Wauke: Making Hawaiian Tapa Cloth at the Renton Highlands Library

Facilitated by Malia Peoples, a Native Hawaiian textile artist and fashion designer.
Join an exploration of the Hawaiian Art of Kapa (bark cloth) and learn how Native Hawaiians are protecting this complex art form from extinction. Get a deeper understanding of Hawaiian Arts and Culture and create your own Kapa-inspired piece of art to take home. Supplies included.
