Advance Directive Workshop at the Des Moines Library

Get guidance on preparing an Advance Directive with Lashanna Williams (she/they), a board director from A Sacred Passing.
In Seattle, attorneys charge anywhere from $300 – $800 an hour for this service and KCLS is able to provide it at no cost to those who register.
All participants will be guided by volunteers on the process of choosing a healthcare agent and putting their wishes in writing when it comes to a situation where you are unable to speak for yourself.
This isn’t always an end-of-life illness, accidents happen, and our loved ones need guidance on our wishes.
A Sacred Passing will have community notaries present to assist in the completion of the paperwork.
