Railroads, Art and American Life: An Artist’s Memoir at the Newcastle Library

Author J. Craig Thorpe will share select images and stories from his beautifully illustrated book, Railroads, Art and American Life: An Artist’s Memoir. Once a common part of the American landscape, trains are increasingly fading from public view. Thorpe’s thirty years of paintings and renderings, recall a unique story of railways and American culture. The author will have large displays of art from the book for viewing, as well as books for sale.
